These are some pictures from my wanderings through Granada on day 2 of my adventures here. Pretty cool sights to see!

Near the top of the hill overlooking all of the valley - downtown Granada and Santa Fe with the Sierra Nevada foothills in the background.

The Alhambra from another angle.

I loved the combination of features in this picture - the old Spanish gentleman and the remains of a Spanish brick building, with a motorcycle and palm trees.... what a sight! :)

The doorway to a church in Granada - one of MANY!

Bell tower in another church.

Looking WAY up to the Alhambra!

Exactly what I pictured Europe to look like.... cobblestone streets, old buildings, and the quintessential old European couple walking with arms wrapped around one another through the streets. PERFECT!

The remains of an old aqueduct system that allowed people working and living in the Alhambra to get fresh water from the river but blocked boats from coming up the river to potentially attack the fortress. Pretty amazing they could do so many things with no technology and a lot of engineering.

The river running through town. There are a TON of stray cats living down there. Took some of the charm away, I can't lie. :)

The perfect European buildings. Exactly like I imagined.

Main town Granada... look at those beautiful paved streets!

Another shot of the streets. So much easier to walk on than cobblestones!

A little church in town. Exactly what I thought a church to look like in Europe!

A fountain (though not turned on at the moment) which people actually use to drink out of... it's not all decorative!
